North Fork Palouse River Information Meeting
On February 3, 2011, Palouse Conservation District hosted a
public meeting for local farmers, ranchers, and residents. The topics for
discussion included value-added marketing, local food markets, best management
practices, and cost-share opportunities. We were fortunate to have a panel
of experts from around the region share their experiences. A summary of
the meeting and copies of each presentation are available below.

Cost Share Opportunities With Palouse Conservation
District
Palouse Conservation District has cost share funds available
for riparian fencing, buffer strips, off-stream water facilities and other BMPs.
In many cases, we cover 90% of the planning and installation costs, and your
share can be paid in your own labor. We strive to design and implement
projects that add value to your land, livestock, and agricultural products.
