Grows into a large shrub or small bushy tree, can reach heights of over 30 feet and spread to 20 feet wide. Has thin, yellow drooping branchlets, with narrow leaves that are pale yellowish-green and finely toothed. Commonly found along streams, lakes, and other moist areas throughout eastern Washington at low- to mid-elevations.
