History with the AAS Program

The Rivers, Watersheds, and Communities Club has been a Stream Steward for the past couple of years. We are a WSU student club, mostly composed of graduate students, committed to conserving our rivers and watersheds.

Reason for joining AAS Program

Our group's focus and work relate to the water resources of the area and their surrounding communities. One of our most popular events is our stream clean-up which we want to keep hosting this year.

Most rewarding experience with the AAS Program

Building relationships with our community while making sure local streams are clean! Our group has the best times when doing our stream clean ups, and we want to continue this tradition.

Favorite memory from AAS Clean-Ups

One time during a stream clean-up, we found a geocache, which at first, we thought was trash. Now every time we do a clean-up, we make a memory of finding it. Also, we always remember when we find a strange trash item and try to piece together the mystery of how those items got there.
