Help Us Plant the Palouse!

Join Palouse Conservation District to improve water quality and create habitat along local streams by planting native trees and shrubs and removing invasive plants at various sites near Pullman.

• Saturday, October 17th from 10 am - 12 pm

  • Six miles outside of Pullman

  • On a tributary to the South Fork Palouse River

  • This event is being held in conjunction with Orca Recovery Day!

• Saturday, October 24th from 9 am - 11 am

  • Nine miles outside of Pullman

  • On Rose Creek

Be prepared:

• We’ll be out there in rain, snow, or shine

• Volunteers will be walking on uneven terrain in tall grass

• Your shoes and clothes will get dirty!

You will need:

• Long pants (required for safety)

• Closed-toe shoes (required for safety) *Crocs and sandals don’t count!

• Weather-appropriate clothing *Bring extra layers to add or take off - weather can change quickly!

• Water bottle and snacks

We will provide:

• Tools

• Gloves (S, M, L, XL)

• Water

• Electrolyte powder

• A small selection of snacks
