This presentation will provide an overview of situational risk assessment factors to consider, risk mitigation practices that you can implement, and important insurance considerations for wildfire mitigation practices. Along the way, we will discuss programs available to residents and dispel myths about fire in agricultural regions.

About our speaker: Kevin Bott is the Founder and Senior Forester with KAGEY Forestry. He is a lifelong Washington resident and has spent over forty years in the forestry and natural resources fields, including two decades of service with the U.S. Forest Service. He has dedicated the last eighteen years to private consulting to assist landowners with managing their woodlands, forests, and ownerships no matter the size. Kevin is a member of the Association of Consulting Foresters, a member of the Inland Power Community Foundation Board of Directors, and a Technical Service Provider for the USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Service in WA, ID, and OR.
