Plant the Palouse | 10.15.25

Join Palouse Conservation District and the Port of Whitman for a volunteer planting event on Wednesday, October 15th from 1-3 pm! Help us restore a wetland site at the Port of Whitman Industrial Park in Pullman. This site contains a nature walking trail and is an important parcel of habitat upstream of Missouri Flat Creek. Volunteers will plant a variety of native trees and shrubs – including quaking aspen, ponderosa pine, and coyote willow – to improve water quality and wildlife habitat.

Refreshments and all tools required for planting are provided. Volunteers who register by Wednesday, September 17th will also receive a free event t-shirt!

Volunteers should be prepared to walk in uneven terrain in varying weather. Transportation to and from the site is required. This is a family-friendly event and all ages are welcome to join.
