We are now hiring for an Education & Outreach Assistant! Applications received by June 15, 2026, will receive first consideration. The Education and Outreach Assistant’s primary purpose is to assist Program Leads, the Director and the Board of Supervisors in the development and implementation of education and outreach initiatives that promote the role, mission, and goals of the District and its programs. The position will assist with planning, organizing, and coordinating educational lessons for youth, landowners, and the general public and other education programs and projects; planning, organizing, and coordinating public events; recruiting and managing volunteers; developing effective communication and marketing materials; and assisting other staff in carrying out miscellaneous grant or contract-related tasks as part of the District’s annual plan of work. The successful candidate will be familiar with local conservation issues, resource concerns, and conservation needs, increasing community awareness of local natural resource conservation needs, to help encourage a conservation ethic within the community.
