Join Palouse Conservation District and University of Idaho Extension for a Soil Health and Cropping Systems Tour on Monday, June 24th from 8 am to 12 pm. Local producers will share insights from cover crop and winter wheat variety trials on their operations. The tour will begin four miles south of Uniontown, WA and conclude six miles northeast of Genesee, ID. Participants will travel to a total of four sites.

Soil moisture, soil health, and beneficial insects in cover crop trials
Winter wheat variety trials
Integrating livestock and cover crops into small grains rotations
Implications of crop rotations for weed control and crop diversity

Lunch and refreshments are provided and Certified Crop Adviser credits are available. Participants must provide their own transportation between sites. Carpooling is encouraged. Tour location details will be made available upon registration. This event is free and open to the public. Please dress for the weather.
